wheelchair fundraising Sean Allerton child amputees charityOn the 14th March, ELoH Ambassador Sean Allerton will be raising funds for us at RAF Honington, near Bury St Edmunds, during one of his sponsored wheelchair fundraising ‘Pushes’. Over a 24-hour period, Sean will go to his limits to raise money for child amputees and other good causes.

In the RAF until a horrific motorcycle accident in 1991 left him without the use of his legs, Sean has raised thousands of pounds for various RAF charities. Inspired by the Proclaimers’ “500 Miles”, Sean decided to raise funds by pushing himself in his wheelchair for 500 miles, starting with two miles at a time and accumulating more and more miles through different challenges. However, at last count, Sean has gone above and beyond the Proclaimers’ song and has pushed himself for over 1800 miles – and he’s still going!

Now an ambassador for ELoH, Sean is raising money for us, too, and Chair of Trustees Vee Bacon will join him for the first hour of this 24-hour push.

We are so happy Sean is doing this for us.  Yet another exciting and novel way to raise money to help child amputees in Africa and India! If you would like to sponsor Sean, please visit his page:  http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/honington-24-2017

Thank you Sean!
