Thank you to all those who attended our Christmas Concert at St Clement Danes Church, in the Strand, hosted with the Douglas Bader Foundation. Lots of money was raised for our child amputees in Africa and India; and the BDF are kindly putting their share of the proceeds towards the ‘Mitt’ campaign, furthering help for upper limb amputees.

We also appointed our first ever ‘Elizabeth’s Legacy of Hope’ Young Ambassadors: Pollyanna Hope and Rollo Bacon (aged 16 and 14 respectively), daughter and son of ELoH Founders Sarah Hope and Victoria Bacon; Allegra Hinton, daughter of Trustee Bronwen Hinton, and Henry Busse from Thorpe House School – in respect of his amazing fundraising. Thank you to all these four Y. A’s – more news to follow.
They were presented with their badges by Ambassador Sean Allerton – who has been our Ambassador since 2015. Sean is wheel-chair bound and has raised money for us with many fundraising ‘pushes’. He is a hard act to follow for our new Y.A’s – who I hope will take their lead from the wonderful example he sets them. Thank you very much to the staff of St Clement Danes and the Douglas Bader Foundation for helping make this event so memorable and such a success.
