ELoH’s Sarah Hope and Isabelle Trick were delighted to speak at the PACE Rehabilitation Conference “Fit For Life” on the 29th of June. The conference brought together some of the leading experts and organisations in amputee care, showcasing cutting-edge innovations such as mind-controlled prosthetics.
Sarah and Isabelle were the only representatives working with amputees in developing countries and their contribution was much appreciated. Sarah began by telling the audience about her experience as mother of an amputee. She continued to tell how she, inspired by this experience, founded Elizabeth’s Legacy of Hope and campaigned for improved rights for amputee children in the UK. Isabelle then gave a presentation about ELoH and the life-changing support that the charity has provided to amputees in some of the poorest parts of the world. It was a great presentation and a very inspiring day.
We would like to thank PACE Rehabilitation for inviting ELoH to speak at this excellent conference, and for making a very kind donation of £600 after the event.
