10 years, 100 miles, 1000 messages – what is behind those numbers? It’s Vee’s London Marathon challenge for Elizabeth’s Legacy of Hope and the child amputees in our projects In Sierra Leone, Liberia and India!
On 23rd April 2017, Chair of Trustees and charity Founder Vee Panton Bacon will mark the tenth anniversary of the April 2007 bus collision that led to the creation of Elizabeth’s Legacy of Hope, by taking part in her fourth London Marathon. Vee told us that as well as being a little bit apprehensive, she is excited because this means she will cross the 100 mile mark. Vee is calling this her ‘£5 marathon’ because she is hoping for 1000 pledges of £5, together with 1000 messages, to take her to the finish line – and to her target of £5000.
Please be one of the thousand and pass Vee’s challenge on to your friends! Ten years on from the day that changed Vee’s world she will need more support than ever to get her around the course.
