We’re very pleased to announce that ELoH is listed as one of St Albans Half Marathon’s local charities this years – and we’re inviting all our supporters to join!
Taking place on the 11th June, St Albans Half is one of Hertfordshire’s most popular community events. It’s a great opportunity to get fit before the summer and it has something for the whole family: a 1.5 miles Fun Run for the kids, a 5K for the older children and the option to run, walk or use your wheelchair to complete the full half marathon.
ELoH was founded by Sarah Hope and Victoria Panton Bacon, after an accident that hit three generations of the family. The charity has always had very strong connections to Hertfordshire, where Sarah, Pollyanna and the rest of the Hope family lives. It’s an honour to be listed as one of the St Alban’s Half’s local charities, and we hope you be able to join.
All money raised will go towards ELoH’s child amputee work in Sierra Leone, Liberia and India. By participating you will help the children there walk, go to school and lead active and healthy lives. You can find out more about our work and the children we support here.
St Albans Half Marathon starts and finishes in Verulamium Park and goes through the stunning country lanes of St Albans. Registration is £30 for running or racing the half marathon on a wheelchair, £16 to walk it, £12 for the 5K, and £9 for the Fun Run.
To register your interest, email Emilie at emilie[at]elizabethslegacyofhope.org. For all details about St Albans Half visit the event website.
We hope to see you on the 11th June!
Love from the ELoH team.
