Elizabeth’s Legacy of Hope are delighted and proud that founder Sarah Hope, and trustee Kevin Craig have both been nominated to carry the 2012 Olympic torch.

Talking about her nomination, Sarah said:

“I was so shocked and excited when I found out that I had been nominated to carry the Olympic torch.  I was inspired to set up ELoH with my sister Victoria, because we want to help hundreds of limbless children around the world to walk and play.  It is brilliant to be recognised for the work that we are doing – I know that my mother Elizabeth would be so proud.”

On hearing of his nomination, Kevin said:

“Sarah and her family are very special to me. They went through a very terrible accident and I just did what I could do to help – it’s what you do for your mate.  Sarah’s so much more worthy to carry the flame than I am, all I did was get her charity off the ground and give it some money.

“I’m a born and bred Londoner so carrying the torch would be an unbelievable honour beyond words. I’m genuinely humbled.”
