On Saturday, 27th June, there will be a wonderful charity concert in St Mary’s Church, Luton. The concert will be a collaboration between Peculi8, an a cappella vocal group, and the Barton Community Choir, a large, fun choir with a repertoire covering ‘a bit of everything’. Accordingly, the concert will consist of an eclectic mix of songs, including traditional, South African, popular, classical, and musical theatre.

The concert is being organised by Rachel Maloy, who knows the Hope family and their story. Speaking of her motivation for organising the concert, Rachel said: “I am very privileged to be Pollyanna’s singing teacher at St Hilda’s School, Harpenden. From the first time that we met, I found Pollyanna to be an inspiring young lady who clearly loves singing. Having read about the work that ELoH does, I wanted to organise a concert which combined the group that I sing in (Peculi8), the group that I lead (Barton Community Choir) and of course, Pollyanna.”

Pollyanna, whose bravery inspired the charity founders to establish ELoH, will sing a solo and join in with the finale at the concert. It is looking to be a wonderful, fun evening, so please do join us there and spread the word. Money raised at the concert will be split between ELoH and St Mary’s Church.
