The Barock ConsortOn the 19 December, a wonderful Carol Service will be held in St Nicholas Church, Hertfordshire, in support of Elizabeth’s Legacy of Hope. It will be a perfect way to begin the Christmas week, with candles and singing, readings, mince pies and mulled wine.

The evening is organised by The Brocket Chamber Consort which has hosted this popular event for several years now. This year, they have chosen to support Elizabeth’s Legacy of Hope and the many child amputees we support in Sierra Leone, Liberia and India. Julian Godlee is the founder of the Brocket Consort and his wife Carolyn is the former Headmistress of St Hilda’s School where Pollyanna Hope, ELoH’s light and inspiration, goes. Carolyn knows the Hope family very well and last year she organised an incredible Art Event for ELoH that raised over £2000. She says:

“I admire [the Hope family] – the bravery that they displayed and their amazing zest of life. I was incredibly impressed with their desire to turn their own personal tragedy into something positive for others, by setting up their charity Elizabeth’s Legacy of Hope.”

According to Carolyn, ELoH was the obvious chosen charity this year and during the Carol Service she will speak about our work and the many child amputees we support. The evening will be draw together a wonderful combination of beautiful singing, Christmas spirit and the desire to improve the lives of others. Tickets are selling out so make sure you don’t miss the chance to attend this special event! More details of the event and ticket reservations can be found on the ticket website. Welcome!
