In November 2020 Elizabeth’s Legacy of Hope signed a new partnership with World Hope International in Liberia. Since then we have been delighted with the incredible progress of our partnership. Despite all the problems the world has faced over this last year or so, our project is flourishing and the number of amputee students has risen from 10 to 15. Our wonderful project manager, Doe Kantey Jacob, was able to continue working with the children and they have thrived under his diligence and compassion. Jacob, has ensured the care of the children on the project from monitoring their continuing school work halted by Covid, through to completion of exams, enrolment in January in new schools or re-enrolment in their current school moving up a grade, provisions of school books and transport to school as well as organising and scheduling visits to Doris our amazing prosthetist. We look forward to what the future holds for this project and have every confidence we will be able to expand our operations in due course.
